Earl Lawson

President

Earl Lawson’s early desire to improve people’s quality of life led him to pursue and achieve degrees in Physical Education and Business.

A move to Calgary in 1980 led to an unexpected career shift. After managing a retail outlet for Kitchen Craft Canada, Lawson opened up operations in Vancouver and took over ownership of the company. Subsequently he partnered in the opening of Showcase Kitchen Interiors, which eventually evolved into its current manifestation as V6B Design Group.

V6B Design Group’s focus is residential pre-planning to maximize functionality and aesthetic integrity in the home. Initially specializing in kitchen design, the company’s interest has since expanded to encompass other areas of the home.

V6B Design Group, under Earl Lawson’s dedicated guidance, has become recognized as an industry leader throughout North America, boasting an unparalleled number of industry awards and published projects.

Lawson is passionate about improving quality of life by providing tangible solutions to create beauty and functionality in the home.

Igor Selskiy

Senior Designer

With over 20 years of experience in both architectural and interior design, Igor Selskiy brings a wealth of knowledge to every design project he undertakes.

Originally from the Ukraine, he practiced architecture for a number of years before transitioning to the kitchen and bath design industry. In addition to interior design projects, he has worked on larger-scale projects like restaurants, retail stores, museums, and other public spaces.

Having worked in the Ukraine, Germany, the United States and Canada, Igor approaches design from a unique North American-European perspective. He holds a Masters of Architecture from the Odessa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture and is fluent in Ukrainian, Russian, and English.

Heidi Schumann

Senior Designer

Heidi’s design philosophy is deeply rooted in the idea that our surroundings strongly influence our lives. Whether we are conscious of it or not, the interiors of our homes are often a direct reflection of who we are. Consequently, Heidi is committed to designing harmonious spaces that connect people to their homes and surrounding environment on a very personal level.

Heidi began her design career in the fashion industry working as a fashion designer, before eventually transitioning to the interior design industry. Specializing in “whole-house” interior design, she has won numerous international awards for her work and has created kitchens for high profile celebrities. Her projects span the globe from Scottsdale, Arizona, to Korea and Russia.

When Heidi isn’t designing, she can be found spending time on her other passion: equestrian riding.

Christine Austin

Senior Designer

A certified (NCIDQ) and award winning interior designer, Christine Austin has been coaching clients to bring their inner designer to the surface and realize their dream homes for over two decades. Before moving to Vancouver in 1991, she first established herself in Toronto after attaining her Bachelor Degree from Ryerson University’s prestigious Interior Design Program.

Also a gourmet cook, Christine takes a “mise en place” approach to her projects, knowing that the design is in the details, and proper planning is the recipe for success. She has a superior knowledge of materials and finishes, and strongly believes that our personal spaces should engage us visually, emotionally, and physically.

Christine’s work has been featured on HGTV as well as in numerous trade publications. She has worked closely with V6B Design Group on a number of high end projects including the award winning NKBA Best Kitchen design in 1999, which she shared with Heidi Schumann.

Veronica Radecka

Veronica Radecka

Designer

Veronica has been involved in the Kitchen and Bath Industry for almost 20 years in many different capacities. Having worked as a designer, project manager, showroom manager, and an owner of a renovation firm, she has a broad understanding of the business. Originally from Poland, she started her career in Toronto after receiving education in both interior and architectural design.

Veronica enjoys the challenge that projects with special requirements present (i.e. barrier free, kosher, complex millwork, and unique concepts) and is committed to translating design ideas into workable solutions.

Veronica’s work has been featured numerous times in design periodicals and on Home & Garden Television. She is fluent in English and Polish, and can also communicate in Greek, German, and Russian.
